Hi Everybody,
Hope you're having an Chill Friday.
So I just got back from my 1st Successful Acupuncture Session. Having gone for almost 5 months straight several years ago
(with not only no success but more pain, nerve problems, migraines and inflammation )
It seemed daunting to me to try again.
As you all know, have tried or heard
Acupuncture is beyond healing for almost anyone with benefits varying in relieving chronic pain (Yesssss) to fertility issues, insomnia, chemo therapy and so on.
So why did I start again?
My Migraines/ Vertigo/ Nausea/ Dizziness went from a Chronic 7.5 to a full blown
9-10 this month. This hasn't happened since I was on every medication under the Sun. (Klonopin being the last) Stressful emotional triggers definitely contributed in a large way, but I also overdid it with my body several times.
I was continuing to try to fit in a world with my friends, family and just everyone I cross paths with to be like them. To be healthy, able to do things that everyone else seems to be able to do with ease. My next blog post will go into that a bit.
Why it's Hard to Fit into Society With Migraines
Natural less Western Medicine approaches have seemed to be working for me these last few years such as visiting the Chiropractor, Following a Strict Migraine Diet, Avoiding Neurological Stimulants, Breathing Exercises, Minimal Caffeine Intake, Cherries/Chamomile Before Bed, DBT, CBT, Reike, Yoga, Regulating Hormones Naturally, Getting Massages (should be more regular) etc... sure I'm not listing all. You get the idea--- All of these things are less taxing on my body than medicine. It was time to FACE MY FEAR OF ACUPUNCTURE, round 3.
What did I feel?
Emotional State Changes
• Mood levels increased
• Anxiety minimized
• Tension caused by desire to CONTROL assisted
• Fear connected to my own Breath eased
Physical Sensations
• Ear Pressure Released by 65%
• Migraine Not relieved but pressure allover (that heavy cloud, broken apart)
• Perhaps it's blood moving around, it felt good
• Central points in Feet/Ankles- Release tension in head
• Outer Calf points- Opened Ear pressure
• Outer Corner/Bottoms of Feet -stimulated movement in sinuses/head congestion
• Throat+Chest Chakras opened
• Release in Tightness of Breathe
• Third Eye Chakra, if you don't believe in Chakra's.. Pituitary Location Stimulated, heavy feeling+ opening.
• Assistance in Vision
• Assistance in Nausea
• Vertigo Trigger, 3 hours later Assistance
• Appetite decrease
• Tired
• Relaxed
• Happy Serotonin tingles down my neck, spine, legs on each side when needles were placed in my Semispinalis Capitis + plenius capitis muscle. A diagram is listed below - This helped one of my cluster migraines.

Will I go Back?
For sure. It is a bit costly unfortunately.
However, on the plus side- supposedly the acupuncture process is only a stimulation/trigger for continuing energy flow/growth. What this means is that anyone who gets acupuncture will continue to see results+changes in their body days after. 1st Successful Acupuncture Results Days Later Blog post to Follow.
Energy flow might sounds taboo to those on the Western Medicine front, however every Dr I've ever been to has told me to go.
Here are 2 great websites to get a range in perspective about how Acupuncture Actually Works from Ancient Chinese Medicine to More Modern Approach.
